Universal drapes
BARRIER Universal Set ISCC
Sustainable surgical draping solutions for almost any procedure
BARRIER® Universal ISCC drapes and sets offer flexible surgical draping solutions that can be combined to meet most surgical needs. BARRIER Universal ISCC adds sustainable improvements to the manufacturing process as the next step in reducing fossil-based CO2 emissions in the supply chain.
Offering the same protection and flexibility of standard BARRIER Universal sets, BARRIER Universal drapes are impermeable, absorbent drapes with adhesive edges, which contribute to a reduction in wound contamination and of the post-operative wound infection rate. The critical areas, closest to the wound, are reinforced with a stronger, more absorbent material. All foldings are designed for optimal aseptic handling and easy application.
Gradually reducing fossil-based CO2 emissions in the supply chain and production means being able to maintain full traceability and accounting for the volume of non-fossil-based material that has been put into the system. The aim is to ensure that manufacturing materials come from an ISCC-certified supply chain. ISCC certification confirms for this range of products that an equivalent amount of ISCC-compliant PE film material has been sourced.
- Mass-balance approach in drape production accounts for volume of bio-based material in the supply chain
- Life cycle analysis to measure how much a mass-balance approach can contribute to reducing CO2 emissions
- Same flexible draping solutions, more sustainable sourcing, for use in almost any surgical procedure
- FSC™ certified boxes
