Every Mepilex wound dressing includes Safetac® – the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion. – so you can remove it easily without damaging the skin 1. . That means less pain for your patients 2. Safetac also seals the wound margins to protect skin from damaging leakage and maceration 3 4.
Mepilex in its many sizes and shapes offers versatility. And you can simply cut a Mepilex foam dressing to fit a particular need, such as when treating wounds in a difficult-to-dress areas.

When to use Mepilex
Mepilex is designed for a wide range of low- to medium-exuding wounds. You can customise Mepilex by cutting it to fit an individual wound or body location. This makes it ideal for difficult-to-dress areas. You can use Mepilex together with our Tubifast™ fixation.
How to use Mepilex
Always clean the wound prior to applying a dressing. The dressing should overlap the wound bed by at least 2 cm onto the surrounding skin. Use Tubifast when fixation is necessary.
