My Mepilex Story
As part of the Bingley District Nursing Team, we've experienced significant success with both Exufiber and Mepilex Border Comfort over the past two years.
Exufiber has proven particularly effective for wounds requiring longer intervals between changes, surpassing our previous hydrofiber in longevity and ease of removal. One notable case involved a young patient with a perineal abscess who struggled with frequent dressing changes, pain and discomfort.
By switching to Exufiber with a Mepilex Border Comfort as a secondary dressing, we able to reduce dressing changes and we observed a noticeable wound improvement within just five days.
The patient's family even expressed interest in learning to apply the dressing themselves, easing the burden on healthcare providers and enhancing patient autonomy.
